What Affects the Total Cost?
Hire Duration
Standard advertised rates apply to shorter hires. Selected machinery may qualify for discounted long-term pricing from 14 days, with the best rates generally reserved for 4+ week or ongoing projects.
Delivery or Approved Self-Pickup
Delivery is calculated from Two Wells at $4 per driving minute each way, with a $50 minimum each way. Customer pickup is available only for selected equipment with an approved transport setup; Stanford Hire plant trailers are not hired separately.
Attachments
Standard buckets are included. Augers, grabs and specialist bits are charged per day on top of the machine rate.
$100 Fuel & Cleanliness Deposit
A $100 deposit applies. It is held for fuel and cleanliness and is not a damage waiver. Any applicable fuel or cleaning charge may be deducted on return.

What is the cheapest excavator to hire?
Our 1T Bobcat E10 micro excavator and 1.7T Kubota U17-3 are both $220/day — the cheapest excavators in our fleet. Both are perfect for residential backyard work.
Are delivery costs included in the daily rate?
No. Delivery is calculated from our Two Wells base at $4 per driving minute each way, with a minimum of $50 each way. Customer pickup is available only for selected equipment with an approved transport setup; Stanford Hire plant trailers are not hired separately.
Do you charge for machine hours?
Each hire includes up to 10 machine hours per 24-hour period. Hours beyond that are charged at $25/hour. Most residential jobs use 2–4 hours of machine time per day.

Yes — our most popular combination. Excavator + tipper starts from $415/day. Dig with the excavator, load the tipper, and haul the spoil away in one trip.
Do I need insurance to hire equipment?
We carry comprehensive insurance on all equipment. We recommend customers confirm their own public liability coverage for site works.
